Scholarships
Scholarships are the best way to get funding for your education. They
are awarded based on individual characteristics of the recipients
and they are given out throughout the year by many types of organizations.
You do not have to repay scholarship awards and they can help you
promote yourself to college admission offices and even employers.

Timing
is everything!
Some scholarships
are very particular
about eligibilty criteria and deadlines. Each year in high school
could be the one year you are eligible for an award. Research early
so you can increase your chances of getting one by applying to several
before you graduate. |
College scholarships
Many schools
have connections to local scholarship funders. Even if you are
already enrolled in a program of study, you may still be able
to get an award. Once you have selected your major , check with
professional organizations that may offer awards
to promising graduates.
